FAA

The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) has appointed 16 organisations to administer TRUST test (Recreational Unmanned Aircraft Systems Safety Test). Recreational drone flyers operating drones in the National Airspace System will be provided with aeronautical safety knowledge through these test centres.

“These organizations are key to making this test widely available and easily accessible to recreational drone pilots,” said FAA Administrator Steve Dickson. “We need pilots of all aircraft, including those who operate recreational drones, to have the training and knowledge needed to operate safely in the nation’s airspace.”

The test may be taken through any of the following approved organizations:

A completion certificate will be issued to recreational drone flyers which they will be required to show to FAA or law enforcement personnel. The certificate does not expire and the FAA urges users to  take the test at the earliest convenience.
